Trip to Malaysia

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country located on a strategic maritime crossroads that exposes it to global trade and cultural influences. It’s known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers.

I had always wanted to visit Malaysia, and finally took the plunge last year. I was not disappointed – Malaysia is a beautiful country with so much to see and do. I started my trip in Kuala Lumpur, where I was immediately struck by the city’s skyline. The Petronas Towers are an iconic sight, and I enjoyed exploring the shopping districts and colonial buildings. I also made sure to visit some of the city’s many temples, including the Batu Caves, which are home to a Hindu shrine.

From Kuala Lumpur, I took a short flight to Penang, where I enjoyed exploring the colonial city of George Town and relaxing on the beaches. I also made sure to try some of the delicious local food, including the famous Penang laksa.

Next, I headed to the island of Langkawi, where I spent a few days relaxing on the beaches and exploring the jungle. I also took a boat trip to see some of the island’s famous limestone cliffs.

Overall, I had an amazing time in Malaysia and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a Southeast Asian adventure.
