I had always wanted to go to Italy. The country of my ancestors, the land of pizza, pasta and gelato. And so, when I finally had the opportunity to go on a gastronomic trip to Italy with my best friend, I jumped at the chance.
We started our trip in Rome, the Eternal City. We walked the ancient streets, marveling at the Colosseum and the Vatican. But of course, we also ate our way through Rome, sampling the delicious pizza, pasta and gelato. The pizza was thin and crispy, the pasta was cooked al dente and the gelato was so creamy and flavorful.
We then made our way to Florence, the city of art and culture. We visited the Uffizi Gallery and saw some of the most famous paintings in the world. We also ate our way through Florence, sampling the Florentine steak, the Tuscan bread and the gelato, of course.
Finally, we ended our trip in Venice, the city of canals and romance. We took a gondola ride through the canals and then ate our way through Venice, sampling the seafood risotto, the Venetian meatballs and, of course, the gelato.
It was the most amazing trip and I will never forget the incredible food we ate.
